So Horror-Fest 2007 is less than a week away and I thought I'd take this opportunity to make sure folks realize Zboneman.com's Horror-Fest event is not affiliated with After Dark's November festival of the same name. And in fact, our yearly shin-dig has being going by the name Horror-Fest since 2004. So perhaps I should take After Dark to court. Why bother? We're not a letigious lot, we're actually quite fond of After Dark's yearly get together (even if last year's debut only unveiled a couple of titles worth mentioning). I'm all for any festival that prides itself on showcasing untapped talent, particularly in the horror genre. Besides, After Dark Films' deal takes place in November (which I always thought was kind of silly) while ours takes place one week before Halloween. In addition, our Horror-Fest is more about showcasing films that have already been tested (i.e. Poltergeist, Phantasm, Prince of Darkness, etc.). Sure, we have a chunk of time dedicated to untapped talent (our guerilla contest) but we also like to give horror treasures of the past a new audience. With that said, click on the link and check out our trailer at youtube.com.
