SOUTHLAND TALES IS FINALLY GOING TO SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY...I HOPE!
Good news for fans of director Richard Kelly. The Donnie Darko helmer is expected to make a big announcement at Comic-Com on Friday, July 27th. Immediately following, he'll be doing poster signings. Now if I were a betting man, I'd say the big announcement will revolve around his long on the shelf Southland Tales project. It's about time they release this flick. I have friends who've seen it (including a few who were at the Cannes screening last year) and they all really dug it. The film reportedly defies description, but I've heard many refer to it as a futuristic, science fiction, musical. Sign me up. I'm hoping this announcement will also include a possible Comic Con screening of the film itself. That would be the icing on the cake. Whatever the case may be, make sure to stop by and say hi to Richard Kelly on July 27th.
AND WE'RE OFF TO SAN DIEGO!
The Boneman and I are off to geek heaven. Comic-Con, here we come! We're being joined by moonlighting writer Tyler Sanders and Producer/photographer Sheldon Demke. We're hoping to blog from the convention. I suppose that will just depend on the down time. At the moment, it doesn't look like there will be much down time. We literally have panels from sunrise to sunset the entire time we're there. Don't worry though. We'll report back with all the excitement as soon as humanly impossible. Keep checking back.
