Director James Mangold has been trying to get his remake of the classic Western "3:10 TO YUMA," on the tracks for some time and he thought he'd found the right captain to take the train home when Russell Crowe expressed interest and announced his availablity. Sony, has had the film in development for years is stalling at Crowe's 20 million dollar ticket, hoping to bring Yuma in on a flintier budget, fearing the customary lukewarm international reaction Westerns recieve. Mangold is now shopping the package with a rescheduled November shoot. Bottom Line - don't buy those tickets yet.
