Fast Times at Ridgemont High helmer Amy Heckerling is going to focus on the Reagan-era
year for a new upcoming NBC series. The tentatively-titled project focuses on a teenage girl growing up in the 1980s. It will be narrated from a contemporary point of view, a la The Wonder Years. Heckerling will write, direct and serve as executive producer for the show which NBC has already picked up as a script.
