Burton grabs Johnny Depp for 'Sweeny Todd'

After Paramount Pictures put back it's plans to make the newspaper columnist themed RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT, director Tim Burton will turn his attention to making a big screen version of SWEENEY TODD. Burton is said to be in talks for the flick which will again see him re-united with pal Johnny Depp. RIPLEY had been planned for a November start, but the escalating budget forced Paramount to put the movie back. Paramount has never, pledged to make the movie, but at a later date. The Dreamworks housed Todd, is an adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim musical of the
same name.
