Casey "Ben There Shun That"

"Look Casey, there's a camera right there - I told you we weren't just going for a hike."

Casey Affleck might have been happily hiding in the background while his brother Ben was in the limelight, but those days are fading fast. Between his leading roles in The Assassination of Jesse James and Gone Baby Gone, Casey is quickly making a name for himself as a leading actor. He recently talked about his love for acting but don't expect him to get too personal. He's not a fan of interviews if they go in the wrong direction. He said,

"Here's the thing: Movies cost a lot (except Gerry) of money to make, and I want people to see my work.(except Gerry) So I'm happy to talk about my movies.(except Gerry) I've never met an artist — painter, sculptor, actor, whatever — who said he loved what he did but was content to lock it up in a trunk in the basement. If you make art, you want to share it.(except Gerry)

"So I'm happy to play my part. Realistically, doing interviews is part of the job. As long as it's about the work, it's fine. When it turns to other stuff (like Gerry)— then I have no patience for it."
