Pregnant rapper Foxy Brown has been sentenced to one year in jail by a New York City judge after violating her probation.

The hip-hop star - real name Inga Marchand - was reprimanded in state custody last month after lying to police about her name and address during a traffic stop and for allegedly attacking her neighbor with a Blackberry muffin.

On August 22, Judge Melissa Jackson ruled these incidents violated her probation stemming from a 2006 assault conviction and on Friday the same judge sentenced the 31-year-old to a year behind bars.

If Marchand, who is three months pregnant, serves out her sentence, she will give birth in jail. Marchand was sentenced to three years probation last year after being found guilty of assaulting two manicurists in 2004. Her sentence will most likely be reduced much like Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie, then again she's blacker than Nicole.

The star was also arrested in Florida in February for battery and resisting arrest in a Pembroke Pines beauty store.
