Veteran actor Richard Gere has had the most romantic table at a New York City restaurant named after him, in honor of his days as a bachelor. Shamsher Wadud, owner of the new Nirvana 54 restaurant on West 54th Street, decided to pay tribute to Gere by giving the most hidden table in the venue his name.
Patrons report that the hidden spot is cold and confining at first, but eventually they warm up to it.
