Godfather Wins by a Head

Oscar winning movie The Godfather has been named as the greatest R-rated film of all time after topping a new survey by the British film magazine, Empire. The 1972 violent mafia movie - which follows Marlon Brando as the ageing patriarch of an organized crime dynasty - beat Pulp Fiction to earn the top spot in the grown-up film ratings, according to the British magazine.

Editor of the magazine Nigel Nelltuff laughed when he recounted the anecdote of how on the night of the balloting he was treated to a re-creation of the famed sequence when a studio boss awakes to find a horse's head in his bed. "Just knowing that Coppolla still has such a fun sense of humor made the film's number one finish all the more rewarding"
