Has Madonna adopted an African baby?

The huge star seems confused as to how to go about making a child of her own.

Reports are coming in that Madonna and her filmmaker husband Guy Ritchie have adopted an African child. The two are said to have adopted the orphan from the African nation of Malawi. The country's spokesman Adrina Michiela told the ITV news website: "She asked us to identify boys only, which we have done after visiting four orphanages in Lilongwe."

Madonna's official spokesperson has denied the claims, but added that the star is building an orphanage and child care centre, and is involved in other initiatives geared
toward helping children orphaned by Aids through the Raising Malawi Organisation.
