Keith Richards to play Sparrow Sr.

I've read this in various newspapers/ websites today, so I'm pretty sure that it is on the button. It seems that Jerry Bruckheimer, uber-producer of films like TOP GUN, BAD BOYS and the PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN movies, has confirmed that Rolling Stones guitar legend Keith Richards will star in the third 'Pirates' movie, titled PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN: WORLD'S END. This all could be hype as the second movie enters theatres, but writers of the franchise, Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio told reporters that Richards was never meant to appear in the second movie, but there was room for him in the third. "Keith Richards was never intended to be in Pirates 2. He is supposed to be in 3. Johnny wanted him in but there was just no room in the story in 2. But there is in 3."
