Lee Scrapped for Scrub

Chasin' Jason - personally I think that's a mistake. Lee would have been awesome in the role.

The rumours around the web suggest that Zach Braff may be assuming the role of FLETCH in a new movie, entitled FLETCH WON. The rumours have surfaced once again after the news that SCRUBS creator Bill Lawrence is to write and direct the movie, replacing Kevin Smith, who has been associated with the film for quite some time. Smith apparently wanted MY NAME IS EARL star Jason Lee to place the journalist made famous in the 1980's by Chevy Chase. But now that Lawrence has taken over, it looks like he may look toward his SCRUBS lead man Braff for the role. Filming is said to kick off next April.
