Lucas Gives $175 mil to USC

The Lucas Foundation is donating $175 million to the newly renamed University of southern California School of Cinematic Arts. Dean Elizabeth Daley is head of the school
whose name the USC board of trustees voted to rename and will announce the new name in an October 4th ceremony on the USC Campus. George Lucas has now given to his alma mater its largest single donation in USC's history. $75 million will be earmarked for construction of a new education building(s) and renovations to the existing structures at the school. The other $100 million will provide an endowment.
