Robert De Niro to produce 'Missy Elliott' biopic

Robert De Niro is planning to produce a biopic based on the life of hip-hop star Missy Elliot. De Niro will produce with partner Jane Rosenthal, along with Elliot's manager Mona Scott. The untitled film will chart the life of the star, who was born in Portsmouth, VA, in 1971. Elliot began her musical career with the girl group Sista, before embarking onto a producing career before breaking out as a solo artist more than 10 years ago. She has enjoyed hits like "Work It", "Pass That Dutch" and "One Minute Man". When asked for further details about the project, DeNiro gave the reporters a wink which they all understood - except the Dutch boy.
