Survivor winner Richard Hatch has been granted a hearing in the US Court of Appeals regarding his tax evasion case.

Hatch, who won the first season of the reality TV series in 2000, was convicted of tax evasion last January after he was found guilty of not paying tax on his $1 million prize.

I started thinking about this deal, and it occurred to me that there are probably a lot of people who would willingly do 4 years in minimum security prison for a million dollars. Hey why not? You could just think of it as college? Plus Hatch is already gay so no painful transition there?
