When I'm 64 - Paul on HSN

"Sure I wannna get my hands on this new record by the Bee Gee kid, but I don't understand this easy pay. We had easy pay in my day, but I don't think this is the same thing."

Paul McCartney is talking to America's Home Shopping Network (HSN) to help sell copies of his new album. The former Beatle will appear as part of a 30-minute special, which will air on TV tonight and tomorrow to promote Memory Almost Full,which is released next week.

"Before we take any more calls I just want to say once again that this music is just magical. Look at that album art - now that's real quality, that's good heavy card stock with like a little booklet that's got the words to every song - am I right - every song -Wow. It also includes several very artsy photographs taken by the former Beatle himself. Just look at these - that looks like what? the inside of someone's knee or maybe part of a tree, now that's genuine collector quality art. And this one - what's that a bird? Is it a bird? Yes we've just had it confirmed that this is a genuine photograph taken by Paul McCartney (one of the Fab Four) of a bird. Goodness, I'm at a loss for words - how often does that happen? My producer is shaking his head, never right, in fact I'm physically incapable of not talking it's called something like laryngeal incessation I don't know something like that, but I swear that bird just about cured me. I'm dead serious, there was a legitimate pause, and thank God we've got it on tape for my husband to see. Now if that isn't to die for I don't know what is. Now let's talk about the 11 songs contained in this very special Paul McCartney CD . . . . ."
