Mike Myers is back as the lovable International Man of Mystery in this sequel to the 1997 original. A film that performed respectably at the box office, but showed its true powers on video.

This time around, the ruthless Dr. Evil goes back in time to steal Powers' mojo (don't ask). Austin, with new and improved dental work, is now living in the 90's, and when he learns of Dr. Evil's plan, he too goes back in time and teams up with the sexy Felicity Shagwell (played by the stunning Heather Graham).

The wonderfully talented Myers plays three roles in this one, Powers, Dr. Evil, and a 400 pound Irish hit man named Fat Bastard. Surprisingly, it's Dr. Evil and Fat Bastard that get most of the films laughs. Director Jay Roach (who made the first one as well) scores again and should be credited with giving the film a terrific look and a brisk pace. He and writer Myers keep the jokes coming fast and furious.

Although this second installment is peppered with lots of potty humor, there's no denying its spunky charm and laugh out loud hilarity. Along with Election, The Spy Who Shagged Me is one of the years funniest films--It's groovy baby!
