This film noir starring Woody Harrelson, loses it's flavor about half way through. Harrelson plays a journalist released from prison, who agrees to take part in a kidnapping plot, to make some money. He is then drawn into a web of money, seduction, and intrigue.

Harrelson seems to be having fun, but it's the always sexy Elizabeth Shue, who steals the movie as a rich man's wife, with a hidden agenda. She plays the femme fatale to the hilt. Unfortunately, writer E. Max Frye throws in too many twists and turns that, ultimately, slow Palmetto down. Not enough, however, to make it a total waste. Palmetto ends up being a slightly amusing ride.
