Wow! I survived my first Jewxploitation film and lived to tell about it. Jonathan Kesselman's wildly entertaining parody/superhero flick Hebrew Hammer is destined to become a midnight movie classic and with the right marketing, it could become a mainstream hit.

Taking a cue from Austin Powers and Shaft, this hilarious comedy is consistently funny and refuses to leave any Jew joke left unturned. To some, the movie might seem offensive, but given that Mr. Kesselman is Jewish, I think those people should lighten up. This is a hilariously good time.

Adam Goldberg is the title character, a sort of Jewish superhero for the people who finds himself plunged into adventure when Santa Claus is taken over by an evil villain (played by Andy Dick) with the destruction of Hanukkah on his mind.

Goldberg is hilarious. He has a quick wit and is a pure joy to watch. Kesselman has crammed this movie with unlimited gags and I found myself laughing throughout the picture. You really can't ask for more from a comedy. This is a movie that would make the Zuckers proud.

With the hilarity that is The Hebrew Hammer, I smell a new franchise. I can only hope that who ever picks up distribution rights to this funny movie, will green light a follow up.
