Disney's The Lion King returns to theaters with an impressive 3D facelift, but even without the 3D, it would still be worth seeing in the theater again. And in fact, upon watching this gorgeous digital print, I'm still trying to figure out why The Lion King wasn't nominated for a Best Picture Oscar back in 1994. Featuring wonderful tunes, breathtaking animation, and an emotionally charged story about a lion cub coming to terms with his place in the circle of life, Lion King represents Disney at its best, and even though this stunning film hits Blu-Ray on October 4th, its worthy of the big screen experience. Particularly if you have children that have yet to see it. The Lion King is pure movie magic.
