A few years back, Aimee Mann of former Til' Tuesday fame, was the toast of the music community, having released not one but two stellar albums in the span of one year--the wonderful Magnolia soundtrack, and the scathing Bachelor No. 2. But it seems that since Ms. Mann has resolved all her issues with the evil music industry (which she sang about on Bachelor) she's run smack dab into a creative iceberg. On Lost in Space she sings about humpty dumpty, moths to a flame, and drugs, drugs, drugs. Compared to her others works, this album comes off as flat, and trite. Even at her worst, Aimee is better than some songwriters at their best. Ironically though, it seems that Lost in Space was the perfect title for this record.

Lost in Space is superb it is deep with tunes that stick in the head.It may or may not be as good as Bachelor No 2 but it is still the best piece of music I have heard for years- powerful lyrics superb guitars class vocals and beautiful songs-this lady is ,in my opinion the best
