Bone has always been a favorite of mine. Their formula of sing songy choruses and light speed rhymes has worked well for over a decade, but after listening to their newest outing Thug World Order, it's evident that time has taken it's toll. Until the hit "Crossroads" in 96, Bone was relatively unknown, but the success of that song has been both a blessing and a curse. Every album since has been an attempt to capture that same level of success, but never straying from that same formula. The music is relatively the same as it was five years ago, lyrics as well. Plain and simple, it's gotten old.
As artists they've yet to branch out into something even remotely different from where they began, an honorable notion, but entirely too boring. Nothing incredibly memorable here, just another rap album that will be appreciated for a few weeks, then forgotten for a lifetime.
