This release was a pleasant surprise. Not being a Bush fan allowed me listen to this album without expectations. This album sounds well . . . like it would have been a great success five years ago. These guys have not changed one bit. If the nation were still crazed with the Seattle grunge sound this album would top the charts. But, Kurt is dead and Soundgarden has gone to weeds--and we are left with the post-grunge sounds of Bush. This is not a bad thing though. The Science of Things is an album worth listening through beginning to end. If you are a Bush fan definitely pick this up. This record sounds much the same as Sixteen Stones with hard driving beats and great guitar. If there is anything different in the sound it is that this is more polished and refined.
