Smooth hip-hop beats and insane blues style guitar is what G. Love lays on you. If you didn't get enough of this sound from of his first three albums, Philadelphonic should more than fill the bill. Not only does G. Love play the hell out of his guitar, he plays it right out of his music--there's no holding back some serious gospel style blues on this album. But even if you're not into the funky sound on this album, at least check out the suave fifties-style togs the frontmen sport, Viva Las Vegas!!

But seriously, the guys are not joking around with their music. They combine a very unique style with true musical craftmanship. They were good enough to be picked up for this years Woodstock reunion, and they're good enough to throw into your player anytime. This album contains songs for any mood--rap influences, heavy slidin' blues, funky dance style beats, and some seriously impressive nasal heavy vocals. If you just want to kick back, check out "Relax," or if your mood is a little more rowdy, try "Kick Drum" and "Friday Night."

So whether you want some smooth sauce to set the mood for your baby, or you just want to hear some fantastic Philly-style blues funk, all you need is Love.
