Few Rock Stars of Harrison's magnitude have managed to lead their lives with such class. Often called the "Quiet Beatle" George provided a gracious example for anyone yoked with excess fame and fortune. Released just about a year after succumbing to cancer, Brainwashed finds George in vintage form. Backed by fellow Travelling Wilbury Jeff Lynne and his son Dhani on guitar, George has left us with a swan song cycle to beat the band. This record is so full of life that it's hard to believe he's gone.

Brainwashed is a nice mixture of thoughtful ballads and spritely toe-tappers that tunefully showcase his spiritual side as well as his acerbic wit. And with Lynne singing harmony, there are moments that remind of vintage E.L.O. I think it's as solid as anything he's done since All Things Must Pass. So long, George, I'm sure you¡¯re having a great time out there in the spiritual realm. Send us back some good Kharma.
