They could have gone by their real names, they could have done without the novelty cartoon characters of themselves. Dan Nakamura, who is the brain child of last years quite wonderful Handsome Boy Modeling School album (of the DJ Shadow school) could have kept these tunes to himself. Likewise, Damon Albarn could have done something to revive a stagnant Blur. But they didn't, and how better off we are for it, for what they have done is recorded a lo-fi trip-hop masterpiece that is one of the best albums of any of their careers. More than a novelty to be sure.

Gorillaz Rock! They are among the top bands I've listened to. No, wait, they are the best! If anyone can tell me their real names I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.
