After three straight years of non stop touring in support of their breakthrough album Lost & Gone Forever, Guster have finally returned with the sunniest record of this summer. Their chief strength is their ability to write great pop tunes. Nearly every track on Keep It Together will have you humming or singing along to the chorus even before the song is over. What also helps them out is their unique approach to bringing these songs to the forefront. Two guitarists, who share vocal duties, and a bongo player are all this band need to satisfy most music fans. This is a fun, readily accessible record that I don't seem to tire of. Fans of old Barenaked Ladies and Toad the Wet Sprocket albums should take heed and jump on this band's wagon.
