Hot Rod Circuit epitomizes everything we've come to expect from EMO, punky, 3-minute rocking-ditties full of emotion and melody. On the negative side of the ledger they don't stray far from highway 182, and they snack on Jimmy Eat World leftovers. Still and all it's a respectable album (their fourth, if you're counting) that might be more fairly compared to Julianna Theory or Saves The Day. In a genre that's boundaries are no longer definable, Hot Rod Circuit blazes straight down the Emo track.
