One of the best albums released this year. The fourth album in Jamiroquai's short career and definitely their best--Synkronized mixes a sort of funk, dance, and disco into a musical carousel.
The album is full of terrific tunes--standouts being "Black Capricorn Day" and the MTV favorite "Canned Heat." It certainly appears as if Jamiroquai has enough canned heat in their shoes to keep them dancing and enough funk in their souls to keep them making hit records.
The bass keeps a hip-hop funk beat throughout and the array of instruments never let the album become monotonous. Not only does this album have the usual Jamiroquai didgeridoo, it also incorporates orchestral arrangements on many of the songs.
But the real stars of this album is vocalist Jay and Beverly Skeet. They create an amazing motown style and then breaks ground by setting some funk-rap lyrics over this seriously unbelievable dance rhythm. He does all of this while maintaining an intense range of pitch and soul. This album will definitely keep you in your dancing shoes.
