Jimmy Rogers was one of the most influential blues songwriters and guitarists to ever finger the frets. Comprised of such greats as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Taj Mahal, Jeff Healey, Mick Jagger and Robert Plant--the Jimmy Rogers All-Stars have given us this lasting tribute to the father of the Chicago blues.

Everyone has probably heard at least one of Rogers' many famous tunes. "Sweet Home Chicago" and "Boom Boom" are two of the most covered blues songs in history. All of the versions of his songs are done exquisitely, capturing the essence of the sound from the Windy City. It is apparent how much of an influence Rogers has had on these contemporary legends by how much heart they invest into their respective contributions.

Jimmy Rogers was alive through most of the recordings on this album and even co-performed on a few. This collection of blues greats, performed by his greatest admirers, is a rare treat.
