Korn said it best! This is the album that will either make or break them. True they're a well established act, but in today's ever changing musical market, longevity is becoming harder to achieve. Korn seems to realize that they need to cash in on the crop, before nu-metal goes the way of 80's glamour rock and becomes a parody of itself. Unsatisfied with the genre of music they helped to create, Korn has set out to re-invent themselves, and the result is a powerful and almost industrial Korn hybrid.
The patented Korn crunch takes on something of a Gothic turn making Untouchables perhaps their best and heaviest work to date. Their preoccupation with hip hop influences notwithstanding, Korn is a true rock band and do not suffer from the watered-down interchangeablity that most modern metal does. This is milestone as well as a natural step forward for a really great band.
