Don't be confused by the covers of this new album. There is only one new release, but Korn issued four different covers for it. The album artwork was done by fans competing to produce the artwork for Korn's new album, Korn decided to print their four favorites. The artwork is actually very good. Issues is a good, solid, complex album. The guitar is consistently heavy and dark. The vocals are still intriguing and tearing at the forefront of their music. Issues holds your interest for a while, but it seems that Korn is not covering any new ground. Don't confuse that statement for criticism, the album itself is fine, but Korn has much more potential. It would be sad to see this band drown itself by hurrying to put out mediocre releases, rather than waiting and releasing something extra-ordinary. If you haven't heard Korn before, purchase their self-titled album. If you are already a fan and are not looking for something avante-garde, this album will not disappoint.
