You remember Dire Straits, "The Sultans of Swing," etc. STP marks a return to form for Straits-man Knopfler and I dare say this is the best work of his remarkable career. The title track, a wonderfully lyrical telling of the story of the Mason/Dixon line features a gorgeous duet with James Taylor and is high among the best songs of the year. It also features a tasty duet with Van Morrison. A great album for old fans, and a nice introduction for new ones.
