Sister & Brother is appropriately named, being the first release by the younger siblings of Fugees main-man Wyclef Jean. On their debut album, the kids waste no time convincing the listener that there is more than enough talent to go around in this family. The album is slick--reminiscent of the later Motown sound, but produced up to current hip-hop and dance-mix standards.

Melky and Sedeck are both extremely talented musicians and vocalists--check out "Foolish Heart" and you'll agree. Some of their lyrics are serious and others fairly humorous--my favorite of the funnier ones being "To Stir With Love." If the album has a weakness, it's that after about four songs, it all starts to sound the same. Still it's an impressive debut, and if you're a fan of "big brother" or hip-hop/soul in general, you might enjoy a little climb on this branch of the family tree.
