Play was what had to have been the world's first southern blues, field-holler, dance record. Being that it sold around ten million copies, you wouldn't expect it to be the last. Moby returns this year with what can only be described as more of the same. The thing is, you wouldn't want it any other way. 18 is essentially volume two in a sub genre created and solely occupied by the little bald man. This sequel to Play even includes a cameo appearance by Sinead O' Connor who lends her vocals to "Harbour",she hasn't sounded this good since she was tearing up pictures of the Pope.

New this time out is Moby offering up his own vocals to many of the tracks. elsewhere, it's the same sampled gospel and blues bites coupled with heart achingly beautiful piano and string arrangements that made Play such a breakthrough. Stop wasting time and buy it.
