This offering from down-under is just a total treat from top-to-bottom. Neil Finn (Crowded House, Split Enz) is one of the finest songwriter's of our time and on this all-star jam he's enlisted the help from some of the most prominent icons of the 80's and 90's. Along for this exciting ride are Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Ed O'Brien and Phil Selway (Radiohead), and Johnny Marr (The Smith's), as well as his brother Tim Finn who co-founded Split Enz and has collaborated with Neil off and on ever since.

This All-Star cast covers a tasty selection of Crowded House and Split Enz favorites that span the 20 plus years of the Finn's career. The impeccable musicianship of O'Brien and Marr on guitar and Phil Selway on Drums, delivers these winning tunes in a way that proves the timelessness of their appeal. Vedder takes the mic on several of the older Split Enz songs and Neil even has the nerve to cover The Smiths "There is a Light That Never Goes Out." The album ends with Crowded House's most recognizable hit, "Don't Dream It's Over," and Neil barely needs to sing as the audience chimes in en masse, resoundingly stamping their approval on the proceedings. Wonderful idea, this.
