This is a great compilation and Perry Farrell is definitely one of the most well respected and Gifted artists of the last decade. But I can't decide whether I think this release is a shameless ploy for more money or a really great idea. On the one hand, Porno For Pyros and Jane's Addiction were both great bands and Farrell was the mastermind behind both of them, so it makes sense to put the best of both on one cd. But on the other hand, if it's a duck call it a duck, meaning--call it a greatest hits of both bands with two new songs by Farell instead of a new CD by Perry Farrell (containing 14 previously released tracks). The two new tracks did not blow my socks off, they were decent. The other 14 songs didn't blow my socks off either, but what did I expect the 14th time around? I'm disappointed because I was really excited to see what he would do next. The choice of songs is pretty good and if you were aching for a best of from either band, or both, this is a great compilation. Be warned, the two new songs alone do not warrant buying the CD, unless you think $7.24 per song is a fair price.
