This album is a fantastic little pop gem, that would've made the perfect summertime--drive around and feel groovy--record. Pocket Size is the perfect name for this creation of Jeff Overs and Liz Pearson--they make sunny, shamelessly catchy pop tunes that come one tasty, bite-sized morsel after another. In fact, the album is so innocuously engaging you scarcely notice when one song ends and another begins.
100% Human is, however, just as derivative as it is accessible. Most of the song-coordinates are located very near the intersection of Sheryl Crow and Shania Twain, and occasionally veer dangerously close to Wilson Phillips land. In fact, the first track is entitled "Hold On." Which I believe was the title of the big WP smash hit. Still and all, I listened to it for almost an entire day, and just sang along like a 14 year old girl. After all, I'm at least 85% Human.
