Sheryl Crow is one of the few pop musicians active today that, I believe, is deserving of all the praise and respect given from her critics and fans. Her ability to make each of her records superior to the previous is commendable considering she has yet to release anything short of wonderful. C'mon C'mon, ups the ante once again and has already been heralded as the possible masterwork of her career. "Soak up the Sun," "Steve McQueen," and the title track, "C'mon C'mon" make this her most up-tempo and optimistic sounding release to date. Guest vocals from classic rockers, Stevie Nicks and Don Henley, country songstress EmmyLou Harris, as well as Lenny Kravitz, Liz Phair and even a song with actress Gwyneth Paltrow, make C'mon C'mon a musical seven-layer burrito, with a little something for almost everyone. As far as it being the, great masterwork of her career, C'mon she's just getting started.
