Is there any band on earth more pissed off that Slayer? Or any band that rivals them in intensity. Like any other non-believer in Slayer I never really bothered with them until I saw them rip the earth wide open on the Extreme Steel tour with Pantera. Needless to say I have gained a newfound appreciation for Slayer, with their brutal, unrelenting assault on the senses Slayer are a strong contender for the heaviest band on earth. God Hates Us All finds Slayer unapologetically preying on your delicate sensibilities while you frantically try to find a place to hide.
This is not your typical toned-down metal band, Slayer play by the old school ethic of fist-in-your-mouth metal, so if dental bills don't appeal to you this might not be the record for you. But if you are part of the toothless masses that this brand of metal appeals to, you will no doubt be thrilled by tracks like "Bloodline," "Disciple" or the whole record in general. I personally think that their last record was a crowning achievement but God Hates Us All could easily be any hardcore headbanger's best friend. So get off your knees and let Slayer rock you straight to hell.
