In 1999 the little known powerhouse of the New York hard core scene, Life of Agony, tragically went their separate ways. Happily guitarist Joey Z. and Stuck Mojo's Corey Lowery on bass, guitarist John Fattoruso and singer Erik Rogers, Stereomud have made an album that slams with all the brutality of Sevendust, Disturbed and Life of Agony.

Track 2 entitled "LeaveƓ finds Stereomud setting the tone of the album pounding out crunching guitar riffs and great vocals. On tracks like "Old Man" and "Get Me Out" the guitar shreddery has the signature of Life of Agony's, and on the first single "Pain" and "Steppin Away" Erik Rogers displays a vocal prowess and harmony unheard of in today's rock world. It's hard to say if Stereomud will make a big impression, among the plethora of new metal bands, but this is a great record and deserves mass recognition. So for those of you who loved LOA or just one of those in search of a great rock album worthy of your collection, Don't pass this one up.
