Me and Suzanne had quite a thing going about 15 years ago. Just call me Luka. When I saw she had a new release on the way I pined for the days of Solitude Standing. Though Red and Gray is a game effort it fails to fully recapture her former magic. There are a number of tunes that aptly demonstrate her poetic gift for describing the vicissitudes of relationships--particularly children caught in between warring spouses, but missing is her knack for catchy chorus hooks. It all runs together like say maybe your fourth favorite song on her best albums. Still she appears to be bearing up well under the years and it's nice to see her back.
