England's own The Go! Team are a unique entity to say the least. They've been lovingly described as everything from a Dance music collective with Hip-Hop tendencies to a band of cheerleaders on crack. The fact of the matter is that this team won't go comfortably into any of these pigeonholes. This group of merry misfits simply have to be heard to be comprehended because they defy any simple logic or convention.

Proof of Youth is certainly cut from the same cloth as The Go! Team's impressive debut and is as satisfying a sophomore record as you could hope for from them. "Doing It Right" sounds like The Supremes running around with the coolest cheer squad imaginable and "The Wrath of Marcie" proves that even something as unlikely as a Glen Campbell tune can be broken down into a danceable delight. "Fake ID" sounds like Disco Deerhoof and "Flashlight Fight" is a notch above the rest simply because the incomparable Chuck D of Public Enemy brings the guest vocals that take this party to the next level. On their superb track "Titanic Vandalism" the question that is repeatedly impressed upon the brain is "Are you ready for more?" The answer is unequivocally yes please!
