By far the most mature release by Therapy to date. If you are not familiar with Therapy, their sound is best described as post-industrial rock. But, this album sounds more like they are trying to tone down their bad kid image and go for a real alternative rock feel. With a name like Suicide Pact it is easy to expect a dark and dismal record. This release doesn't even land close to that ballpark. The opening track, "He's not that Kind of Girl" has a humorous feel, and the entire cd follows suit. Suicide Pact sounds less like a rebellious rock album than former releases. This record is incredibly brighter than anything they have done in the past. It almost makes you wonder if Therapy might have undergone some serious depression counseling before recording this release.
