In 1999, Underworld made in my opinion one of the greatest techno albums of all time with the horribly underrated Beaucoup Fish. If you're familiar with Underworld you know that this is a three piece group, or was until DJ Darren Emerson left to pursue solo fame. Now founding members, Karl Hyde and Rick Smith, are left to pick up the pieces. Hyde, known for his eratic vocals and lyrics and Smith a production Wizard have seemingly come up short by themselves. Great tracks are few, but found in first single "Two Months Off," and "Dinosaur Adventure 3D" which like most Underworld songs, build up slow and gain steam four to five minutes in. The rest of the album can be sluggish at times, but never truly boring. Here's hoping that Smith and Hyde learn from their mistakes and do better on their next offering.
