There's no doubt that Xzibit is one hell of an M.C. With a gruff, raw voice and lyrics reminiscent of Ice Cube's Predator days, X has un-doubtedly proven himself as an artist to be reckoned with. Unfortunately his latest album, Man Vs. Machine hasn't. The problem though doesn't seem to lie with Xzibit himself. The lyrics are sharp and on key for the most part, but the production falls flat. The beats are overly synthesized to the point of annoyance, and when the digitalization decreases, the un-melodic R&B hooks increase sounding like a half-assed Tupac track. But Tupac managed to blend them perfectly, whereas the producers on this album never seem to find any common ground. A shame too, as Dr. Dre's name is plastered all over this CD. Overall a good spin once or twice, but like most rap albums these days, entirely forgettable.

Hey guys, i would stand my word regardless of any critics. This is one good album. The problem with the public is that, they do not like deep music. They always want songs that have good beats and do not really listen to what the artists has got to say. The beats on this album are put purposely so that the listners do really have to listen to te message being passed. Hey X man has worked hard on this album and he must be credited. The first time i heard the album, i thought to myself, "what a useless album, i waisted my money on this shit" but a number of days passed and i actually started enjoying the album more than all the others i had in my collection.
